“ We came in and were not expecting the food to be ready made. The apples from door to mouth is a plus! We got white rice, chicken and the server recommended a pork that was sooooo good. They also have lots of tasty looking treats! ”
“ I'm so happy I stumbled upon this spot on Yelp--it totally satisfied my Filipino food craving! I love the turo-turo (point-point) style, where the food is ready and you just point to what you want. I came with a coworker and tried the munggo and fried fish, along with some caldereta to share. Since it was our first time, I wanted to sample a bit of everything, and I'm glad I did because everything was delicious! The flavors were spot on, and the side of sinigang soup was a nice bonus. As a second-generation Filipino, I can confidently say that the food was both authentic and satisfying. I'll definitely be back--especially since it's so close to work and perfect for a quick, flavorful meal! ”
“ Great food! I had the pork sisig, and it's the best pork sisig that I ever had. I had the guyabano drink and Buko pandan dessert. They were good, too, but like any Filipino food, it's kinda pricey, but worth it. The garlic fried rice did not have the garlic taste. ”
“ I wanted to add this to my original review, as I ordered a full lechon for Noche Buena. It was me and my fiancé's families' first time spending Christmas together, so my dad paid for a lechon for the event. The staff as always were so helpful and informative on how much the lechon was (ran up to $529 after tax), and I was able to reserve one early in December and coordinate a good pickup time. It was many people's first times trying lechon, and the pig was lovingly named Don Chon before we carved into it. As I've tried the lechon kawali at Herbie's, I knew we were in for some of the best lechon in the SGV! Juicy, crispy, flavorful, and everything in between, this was one of the best lechon I've had in my life! The paksiw sauce that came with the lechon was also amazing; it had a unique sweet flavor that everyone enjoyed. Thank you again to Herbie's for such an excellent centerpiece for our Noche Buena dinner! We can't wait to make this an annual holiday tradition! ”
“ Good Filipino food and great service! The staff are always friendly and helpful, unlike the other Filipino restaurant nearby - Nova grill where as soon as you walk in, you are already greeted by this rude and arrogant male cashier. Anyway, everything i have ordered so far has been delicious. Their lechon kawali is perfect, too bad there's no more mang tomas around. I would recommend this place if you live nearby or in the area and craving for some Filipino dish! ”
“ A quick no frills Filipino point-point (turo-turo) restaurant that has a little shop to buy Filipino goods. I ordered their breakfast meal (tocino, longanisa, and tapa) which hit the spot. It's such a comfort meal for me. Their breakfast meal comes with rice and egg too. They also have your usual Filipino items like pancit, adobo, etc. Not a bad place to check out for quick Filipino food if you're on this side of town. ”
“ If I don't want to make the drive to West Covina this is my go to place for some quick Filipino food. Whether it's just ordering for breakfast for some longsilog, lunch, dinner, or a big catered order for a party, this place is a good option. They are friendly and always have food ready as planned. They have a good variety of food, and prices are pretty reasonable. It's your standard point point take out. Although you can also order items that are not ready made as well. They have some tables if you want to eat your meal there. As well as some snacks and sauces if you need to get some Filipino essentials as well. But, they are closed on Sunday's. So when I got that Filipino breakfast craving, I'll have to make my way to West Covina instead ”
“ We're here at Herbie's Cuisine for my wife's mini high school reunion and one of the members is the owner of the restaurant so I can't rate or comment on service, serving size and the ambiance as they took over most of the table space. As for the spread, they served us Lechon-4/5, kare kare-5/5, lumpiang hubad-5/5 (fresh lumpia vegetables no wrapper), Bicol express-4/5, shrimp sinigang-5/5, fried squid-3/5, and cassava cake for dessert-5/5. ”
“ Ordered here a few times, always the breakfast plates. I havent been inside to pick up or dine, but have always ordered delivery. Today I ordered longsilog (a childhood favorite) and an order of egg rolls. I was hungry, so I forgot to snap a pic, but it comes with 2 links of Longanesa, a bed of garlic rice and 3 eggs. Craving satisfied! The egg rolls were still warm in a plastic bag...thought they would be soggy, but to my surprise it was just right, still crispy! And the price is awesome compared to other places... ”
